New Titanic DVD

Okay, this is great - I'm all for extended scenes and deleted scenes and director commentary and all that. There's just one thing that bothers me - an alternate ending. Um, James Cameron? There can only be one ending. The ship sinks. The end.

I love this movie, but only once. It's way too long and involved to watch over and over. Also, I'm irritated by the fact that when she is floating on that piece of boat and holding onto Jack's hand, she says, "I'll never let go Jack, I'll never let go" and then she lets him go and watches his body sink into the ocean. Sheesh. Why do I love it anyway?? I don't know!

AH! THANK YOU! I opened up my hotel room door yesterday to see a US today paper with this "Titanic" pic in the corner and a thing that said "ALTERNATE ENDING" I was very VERY confused. you are not alone Amandarama, then again, are you ever?

God help me but this is a GOOD MOVIE. Please refer to Pearl Harbor for an example of a history-drama (dristory? historama?) movie gone horribly wrong.

I HATE this movie. God, I hated it. I was so glad when the ship sank.

Maybe the alternate ending is that Kate actually keeps her promise and doesn't let go. If anyone watches the movie, let me know how it ends this time. Lord knows I'm not going to sit through it again.

I'd watch it again just to count how many times they say "Jack" and "Rose". Jack Jack Rose Rose Jack Jack Rose. ... Rose.

I'm with Beth. We've discussed this at length, I believe.
It doesn't make sense. "I'll never let go. Now get off my piano."

What the crap?
