Nutty Bars

Oh, Nutty Bars. You sustained me through my high school years, when part of my allowance was to be alotted toward school lunch, and in order to have more spending money, I bought you for a quarter in the a la carte line. You nourished me during the year I waited tables in Saginaw, you and chocolate milk most mornings before a shift at Bennigan's. Now, older, wiser, and fatter, I must save you for special occasions... like road trips. Just yesterday, I had the privilege of Nutty Bars for breakfast, on my way home from a quick trip up north to sing at a wedding, and you were everything I coud have hoped for: creamy, crispy, peanut-buttery, melt-in-your-mouth good. Thank you, Nutty Bars - don't ever change.

Nutty Bars? Whatever happened to a nutritious breakfast, like Krispy Kremes?

Alas, no Krispy Kreme in the greater Grand Traverse area.

I love Nutty Bars, too! I had them for like the first time in years a few weeks back. I was super broke and had like 2 dollars to get food. I had chips and a nutty bar. Yummers!

I had some during our move to FL. Does anyone else eat them in layers? It makes them last longer!
