My Thoughts on (Some) Brides

Getting married is supposed to be the best, most beautiful day of a girl's life. Unfortunately, it usually turns out to be one of the most stressful. I've been on the receving end of some brides' freakouts, but I think that this one takes the big, over-frosted cake (as far as I'm concerned - some of you have much worse stories, I know!). I was supposed to sing in a wedding this coming weekend, but the bride had not reached a final decision on what she wanted me to sing, so I called her yesterday to see what she had decided; also, I had sent her a CD and just wanted to make sure she got it. Well, she called me back today, and she got the CD all right - and she told me that it was very good, but they've decided not to have a wedding singer, and that she hoped that was okay. Um, I think that's NOT okay, but what do you say to something like that? "Oh, no big deal, I didn't really want to do it anyway?" That's just not nice. I think she's freaking out, and I was expendable. Hopefully, she doesn't feel the same way about the groom.
Brides, let this be a lesson to you - the "vendors" have feelings, too, and you should extend common courtesy when relieving them of their services. In other words, poop on you, bad bride!

I am sorry Amamdarama. Just remember this when you and Nate get married. HEHEHE I want to come, I just don't want to sing and I am sure you don't want me to either!

I'm with you, that's incredibly RUDE! You've practiced this song and gotten it ready for the wedding and at the last minute she cuts you loose.

I am going to have you sing at my wedding, and I am just going to stop you in the middle to the song and say to you from the pulping "I am sorry, but can you stop? This just isn't going to work. We don't need you any more." That would be worse than this, wouldn't it?
