Sudoku

I know someone else in my blog circle wrote about Sudoku recently, but I just did my first Sudoku puzzle today and it may have changed my life. I thought it would be too hard, because I'm not a numbers-minded person, but this puzzle is AWESOME! My mom commented that it's a little like music, the way it's formulaic, and I guess it's sort of like a twelve-tone row (shout out to all my homies from Parker's music theory class!). Also, it's unlike crosswrods in that you can't really run out of knowledge. You may not know a four-letter word for "hodgepodge," but you can figure out that pattern of not repeating numbers. Sudoku is wonderful. I feel so trendy - I'm part of a craze that's sweeping the nation!

Sudoku - A- (I can't get enough, and that might be bad)

You hit the nail on the head... sudoku is so great as the american crossword - why bother learning!

Bleeeeech. But I'm glad that you've found something to keep you out of trouble. Y'know, it's like having a child who's into boxing... I'd rather have you doing su doku than shooting people to get into a gang.

Do you have a favorite sudoku site?

Fiendish Sudoku is a good one. It has new puzzles every day at five levels of difficulty, and it can give hints and step-by-step solutions. It also has several printing options if you prefer to use pencil and paper.

Worth a look!

Welcome to the fold, sister. Sudoku has been a major player in my life since I noticed it next to my beloved daily crossword in the Red Eye in the Summer of 2005. It got so bad that my coworkers and I were printing them off the internet and Teppei even bought me a book of them to do on the bus & subway. Please remeber to come up for air, feed your pets and water your plants if you have any. I learned the hard way...
