Pets In Clothes

My friend Erika thinks pets in clothes are super creepy, but she's never seen Wombat in his fancy turtleneck. My future sister-in-law knit this for her parents' dog, and I think he looks like a champ. Notice the sassy orange stripe, mixed with the mottled sage green - very chic. Plus, he's a pretty little dog, and probably gets cold when those winds blow in off the ocean, so I think this sweater is perfect for when Wombat gets a chill.

Wombat - A-; Wombat in his sweater - A+

See, I think pets in CLOTHES are OK, but pets in COSTUMES are kind dorky. Except I went to a Christmas party where a Shih Tzu was wearing bells on his paws, and he was just this mess of jingling cuteness.
Maybe we'll see more of Wombat in clothes?

I just can't get over the fact that the dog's name is Wombat. That is the cutest name ever. I bought my dogs shirts that said Santa's Little Helper right before Christmas when they were puppies.

You should all be aware that in the bottom photo, Wombat is doing a trick that we like to call, "Weenie!" He'll stretch himself out on his belly, and he'll drag himself along on his, well, weenie, and then we all yell out, "Weenie!" So, really, I guess WE'RE the ones performing the trick, as he's giving the command.

I also like to perform the Weenie from time to time.

This is hilarious. I love the sweater and i'm with everyone who doesn't ususally like that sort of thing. The trick at the end is hilarious to me because my dog is a daschund/chihuahua mix. LOL he sort of does the weenie involuntarily . . . lol

My dog LOVES to wear clothes! I bought her a polo shirt from work (GAP) and she won't let me take it off! I draw the line at certain costumes; if the dog looks sad, I don't like it.
