Ear Plugs

As far as I can tell, there are two kinds of ear plugs: Here's the one I like. Ear plugs have helped me out a number of times: on planes, at concerts, sleeping next to a snorer. Ear plugs, you are so unfashionable, and I love you so much. Keep up the good work.

Here's the kind I hate. My biggest problem with gauged earrings is the "down the road" factor. Do people that get their earlobes stretched think about life after 40? Forget the tattoos - given enough money and a high pain threshold, those can be removed. But can you do reconstructive surgery on your earlobes to shrink those holes?

Kids these days.

Yes, actually, you can have reconstructive surgery done to make your ears more normal again. They may never be back to normal exactly, but you can have them fixed to an extent.

what you never seen an old person with stretched ears? they make the old people look better actually imo. You know you look like crap anyway when your old might as well have some nice lobes!!

Yeah, im going to have to tell you to shut your fucking mouth. Body modification is a way of life, and we take pride in our modifications, i dont give a FUCK what people think of me for mine. Take it or leave it (:

if you leave them long enough and dont tear the scar tissue they can go back between 5 months and years. you don't need reconstructive surgery !!

People that downgrade people for having different likes and ideas for things are what I call "hicks." I don't understand why these "hicks" are so afraid of different. People don't realize everything is body modifications, if you get your hair cut, your'e modifying your hair. Same as if you cut your beard, or shave, or even cut your damn toe nails. I'm so sick of people thinking negatively about people who enjoy different things.

Ear plugs make a big role in any musicians or music lover’s life. I think these tips create a big change for everyone’s life.

Actually, reversing stretched ears is far easier, cheaper and less painful than reversing a tattoo.

That said, I started stretching my earlobes 18 years ago and mine can now accommodate 3 inch(76mm) plugs, and I'm over 40 myself, with no plans to reverse them. I have a successful career as an engineer, and I'm also co-owner of a successful business.

I agree that they're not for everybody, and when I decided to stretch them big I knew that it was something that I would want down the road. Will I want them when I'm 80? Can't say for sure, and there's a good chance I won't live to 80 anyway.

I actually get compliments on my ears (and other mods) almost every day from all types of people. I love my look and love the conversations that they start. I know that many people don't like or appreciate them, and that's OK. But I do have a problem if you believe that I'm somehow a bad person or immoral because of them. That would be no different that if I assumed the same of someone who's fat.
