Going the Distance

I wonder how long it would take me to run 100 meters. If the guy in the fron of this picture just broke the world record at 9.76 seconds... you'd probably have to multiply that by at least three... and then figure in some kind of ratio based on the size of my tatas... I'm guessing 40 seconds, from start to wheezing finish.

Anybody out there who ran track? Am I way off base?

running fast - B (cool if you can do it, not so cool if you can't)

I seem to recall doing it in about 14 seconds as a freshman in high school, and that was REALLY slow...my track coach moved me to the half-mile for my sophomore year. 9.76...wow.

As a former track/cross country star my freshman year of high school, I believe you would be much, much faster then 40 seconds. How about you find a track and time yourself and let us know.

I ran a mile ONCE. I have nothing to base your prediction on. :)

OK, maybe 40 seconds is way off... anybody think I could do it in 15?

Ummmanda, we need to go down to the track someday soon and do some time trials. I'll time you if you time me!

Maybe you could go over to the U of M track...should be free, as apparently, the Wolverine football "program" hasn't been using it lately.

Ouch! The word spreads even to California?
