The End of an Era.

My cleavage and I were the maids of honor in a wedding this weekend.  And it was great.  Being part of a wedding party is not just an honor, it's a hell of a good time.  And you get a present!  I love my new necklace.  It's tremendous.
Here's the crazy thing about this wedding I was just in: it's the last one for a while.  I've been to 51 weddings in the last 12 years, and have been a bridesmaid 6 times.  But I'm entering a dry spell.  I think that, on the outside, I will only attend four more weddings in the next ten years.  And that includes the weddings of two people who don't even have significant others at this time.  Which means that, to enter another period of fruitful wedding attendance, I'm either going to need to befriend a bunch of 22-year-olds, or wait until my friend's CHILDREN get married.  But that'll be a long wait.  The oldest child of people-whose-wedding-I-attended is nine.

Sadly, this is probably not the last of the weddings until the kids grow up. Odds are, some of those 51 marriages won't stick, and you'll be back at another wedding for one of the same people. Not that this is cause for celebration, unless you're really hard up for weddings.

If I have to get remarried, I expect a better wrapping job on the next gift. ;)

And if a few more states allow gay marriage, you just might have more in store. I mean, you have like hundreds of gay friends right?! I know you love the gays!

Wait... am I one of the 4?? Talk about pressure!

Ouch Erin. Are you knocking my wrapping skills? I find this to be unacceptable. It's the thought that counts, no?

I know I am one of the 4 weddings, and I'm working on it. Dates usually come before weddings though, and SPEAKING of dry spells...

My wedding will be super fun though, if and when it does happen. And you'll get more than just a necklace!

If you add in the gays, plus some people I left off, plus a re-marriage, I might see ten in ten years. I'll keep hoping.
