Katie Holmes is going to have a SILENT BIRTH!? Is this even possible? I fully acknowledge that a stress-free, quiet, relaxed birthing environment would be better for both mother and baby, but come on! I would groan pushing an actual watermelon through an actual straw, to say nothing of doing that euphemistically near my pink parts. I can't even comprehend not groaning a little while giving birth. Nuh-unh. Not possible.Mothers, speak out - what do you think? Did you make noise, even a little, when you had your precious babies?

ReplyDeleteI am not a mother but I watched my baby sister delivery my niece last year and YEAH RIGHT. That is the MOST INTESE pain anyone will ever go through. Gosh darn it, SCREAM!

ReplyDeleteYes, even if a woman is left all alone to give birth, even if a tree falls on top of her, and even if she's well drugged, she will STILL make noise! Probably a lot. And then, so will the baby.
ReplyDeleteBabies don't even care for silence, because it's so loud in the womb. Ask all the parents whose kids fall asleep to the vacuum cleaner running. Maybe the silent thing is so Katie just doesn't have to listen to Tom...
Having been at a lot of deliveries, I can tell you that the only ones where the mom is really silent are when she's under general anesthesia.

Easy! It's called a Cesarean. I had one, but I wasn't exactly silent. I kept asking if they had started cutting yet. I have a bit of a phobia about having surgery and still being awake! But, poor Katie! Scientologist can't do any drugs, can they?

ReplyDeletewhen my sister gave birth to my nephew i heard her scream from FAR down the hallway. This Uncle says there aint no way in hell. Anywho-Katie is a dumb biznatch.
Actually... the lower the moaning, the more bearable the pain. The high pitched screams cause you to tense up and it actually makes it hurt more.
ReplyDeleteI birthed 2 kids doing low moaning. I did end up getting meds, but the quieter moaning did help.
Silent birth?? Not so sure about that.
