I just found out that Katie Lee Joel, host of Top Chef season one, is Billy Joel's WIFE. I really, really thought she was his daughter. Gross.
And don't think you can host a food show just because you "grew up in your grandma's Southern kitchen."

Good news. Top Chef has a new host for Season 2. Padma L-something. She seems lovely, so hopefully the "ew" factor decreases.

Padma Lakshmi, folks, and I like her better. She's a "self-professed foodie." To me, that gives her more credibility than growing up in her grandma's Southern kitchen.
Actually, the ew facter is still there. This host dated Salman Rushdie. I love that show.
